What's the 'book' on Author's Choice?
Authors Take Destiny into Their Own Hands and Start New Canadian Publishing and Distribution Company In September of 2006, the bankruptcy of a long-time Canadian book distributor leads to the birth of a new force in the publishing industry. Lorne Kirsch, a former senior partner at a major accounting firm, decided, "...to take his destiny into his own hands in order to help independent authors and publishers succeed in the Canadian marketplace." Thus Author's Choice Publishing Group was formed. "All of our authors have been selling books and creatively marketing their work individually. As independent publishers and authors ourselves, we realize that our greatest resource is the collective genius of the people we represent. That is why the Author's Choice motto is Partners in Publishing. It is our belief and it states how we are approaching this business; by utilizing the energy, contacts and creativity of what is our greatest resource: the authors we represent. It is time for a change in how authors and publishers are represented in the book industry."
